Give Credit Where Credit is Due

(Geralt 2015)

When writing papers, it's important to give credit to the sources of your information. As a general rule, if you use an article, website or interview someone to gain information on a topic, you need to cite the source.

There are 2 main formats for citing sources that we use at CPCC: MLA and APA. Both formats contain similar information, but each is a little different.

Here we will review the APA format for citations.

You Don't Cite

Common Knowledge:

Something that people can be expected to generally know and is not an opinion.

  • Example: The earth revolves around the sun.
