Upgrade H5P Library ILIAS-Server

Hello everyone,

I use the tools from H5P under ILIAS (on Ubuntu Server 18.04) and use several clients there. If I want to activate H5P Course Presentation for a new client, I get the error message: "The system was unable to install the H5PEditor.Wizard component from the package, it requires a newer version of the H5P plugin. This site is currently running version 1.19 You should consider upgrading and then try again."

If I try to update the package via git, it doesn't work because the directory already exists in the ILIAS directory. I delete the directory, install it's new, no more presentations that have already been created and use the CP plugin.

Has anyone ever had a similar problem? Thank you for your information ...

Hi tsch!

The H5P plugin for ILIAS was not developed by the H5P core team but by Studer+Raimann. Hope someone here has some experience it.

In general: The ILIAS plugin possibly does not use the latest version of H5P core that may be required by content types. It might be possible to simply update the core and the editor, but often a newer core version also requires changes to the plugins - so in that case, it may not be possible to update your platform as needed.

Best,

Oliver
