Changing from Moodle to H5P website

Hi everyone,

I have made a h5p module through UNSW Moodle. I was just wondering if it is possible to transfer this across to the h5p website for people to access who do not have a Moodle login?

Thanks

Hi Emma!

It is possible to run H5P content on multiple platforms, not just moodle. Content can run natively on your desktop computer using Lumi, it can run on WordPress, on ILIAS, on Stud.IP, on ... and on Drupal that the h5p.org is based on (I assume that's what you are referring to when you say "H5P website").

So, technically, the answer is yes. But h5p.org is not intended and designed for hosting productive content. You can try to do so anyway, but some things may not work and you'd be exploiting the H5P core team's resources.

If you want to share your content with others outside of your moodle instance in general, then you should contribute your content to the H5P OER Hub. It's a designated place to store and share H5P content that can be accessed by anyone - not for running the content though.

Unfortunately, if your are not using the H5P plugin for moodle (that was created by the H5P core team and can be indentified by the black H5P symbol), this will not be an option (currently). The moodle core integration of H5P (that was created by the moodle team and can be identified by the blue H5P symbol) does not support the H5P OER Hub and it's currently being discussed if it ever will.

Cheers,
Oliver
