recognize equality of algebraic terms

Hi everybody,

We create Math interactions and want the students to write down their answer in a blank. The problem is to accept equal terms, for example if the correct answer is "3x+5", the answer "5+3x" should also be correct.

Is it possible to have acces to "Wolfram Alpha" or app, that can check equality of the correct answer, and the answer the student is giving?

We are grateful for every help.

Hi Marco,

I assume you are using the Fill in the Blanks content type. I don't know how feasible it is to use "Wolfram Alpha" and if it is it will take time to develop such integration. However, there is already an option in FiB to include an alternate answer with the use of a slash "/". You can check this sample content: https://bv-demo.h5p.com/content/1292223099015224199
