Rights of use

How can I add copyright information to a Question Set or question I am using? I see there is a way to do it on images within these. When the Question Set launches, there is a "Download" button and a "Rights of Use". So I want the copyright info to go in there. How to do it?

Also, is there a way to remove the "Download" button?

Thanks,

Veronica

There currently isn't any way to add the copyright info for the content itself. We're going to add it, we just haven't had the time yet. We're looking into doing it a bit differently since many users already have fields in their cms for adding right of use info and we don't want to force them to add this twice.

Download can be disabled in H5P settings in both Drupal and Wordpress. In an upcoming version it will also be possible to remove it per content.

Thanks for the info, I had not seen the Settings > H5P so that worked brilliantly!

I would like to add attribution (that is required) for some creative commons content I am using. And the button is still there so if someone clicks it appears I haven't added the attribution. I'm sure there is another place I could put it but it would be handy for later.

Thanks!

We also want to insert the Creative Commons into a H5P feature we created. You wrote that you wanted to add such a feature. Can you please tell me if there are any news about it? Thank you very much!

Hi there.

As far as I can tell it doesn't look like this feature has been added yet. It would be useful to add Creative Commons licence links so maybe this will happen one day! :)

Hi,

you are able to add a Creative Commons lisence for images, video and audio but not for quizzes. Hopefully the community will help fund the ability to add it to questions as well.

I see that there is an "Edit Copyright" button on images, which is useful. However this doesn't appear to display the copyright information anywhere. Is this possible?

For example if I use an image that has a CC-BY- licence, it should display that information when the image is displayed. Otherwise how would anyone know you were giving the attribution?

Thanks :)

Hi,

if you set a licence for an image, you should be able to see it when you press the 'Rights of Use' button at the bottom of the frame. I've circled the button on the screenshot that I've attached. These screenshots were taken from the course presentation example on this website.

Depending on the creator of the H5P content, sometimes the frame may not show up. But that can be changed in the settings.

Thanks for your reply. That is interesting because I don't see it on the dialog cards I created. How do you turn it on? i also ticked and unticked the copyright button and nothing happened. I have the latest version of h5p installed. Thanks for your help.

See screenshot.

Ah, I see. It is because the options on the bar at the bottom are removed to accomodate a smaller screen width. Perhaps if you turn your phone to landscape the other buttons should show up.

I'll report this and hopefully it will be fixed in a coming release.

Hi, no, here it is on a MAC. It's still not there.

Also, I tried a Course Presentation thinking maybe it was just the content type but it's not there either. How did you get it to show?

Thanks

How strange... which platform are you using, wordpress? If you could do another screenshot but of the entire page, that would be useful.

Latest version, libraries, plugin all up to date. Screenshot attached.

Thanks,

Hi, thanks for the screenshot and the feedback. I think I've found a solution.

The button for 'Rights of use' only shows up when you've saved copyright information. If you leave it blank it won't show up.

Using dialog cards as an example, one can upload and save copyright information as shown in screenshot_1.

screenshot_2 shows the button in place now that copyright information has been saved.

Hi

It is working now. However I had painstakingly added all the copyright info to every photo before, I updated it (I'm certain I did!) and when I looked just now it had all disappeared. :(

I tried adding one just now and turned on the copyright button and it worked. I must redo everything but at least I know it is working now. Thanks for all your help. :)

No problem. Glad to see you got it fixed!

The H5P team informed me that the collective licence is in the milestones. So far, it is not clear, at what exact time the feature will be offered. But hopefully the realization will be started at the end of 2016/at the beginning of 2017.
