use sounds with questions

Hi
I am a french teacher
I find H5P very powerful.
I would like to use h5P to have my students listen to read text and complete the missing words with a single H5P exercise.
For the moment, I use audacity to make an mp3 file that I then convert to wbm format so I can insert it into a fill-in-the-blanks exercise with the file media option because mp3 files are not accepted (only  picture or video files)  with fill in the blanks or quiz question set
It works with the wbm files but we have a big black rectangle in the exercise because the video does not exist (there is only the audio).

It would be much easier if the mp3 type files and an audio section were accepted as media in the exercises ...

Can you add this audio section so that students can propose a dictation with the exercise fill in the blanks and the audio file in mp3 format in one single h5P file.
Thank you so much
Alain

Hi Alain!

There's already some source code that would make this super-easy (https://github.com/h5p/h5p-question/pull/4), but it seems that so far the H5P core team couldn't find the time to review it.

Best,

Oliver

Thanks for your answer

I use h5p with wordpress on a localwebsite

I have downloaded h5p-question-add_setAudio.zip and opened the archive but I have not understood how to use it.

Can you help me

thanks again

Alain

Alain, this is not something you can upload to H5P, but some additional code for the H5P framework that will make it simple to add the audio feature to content types. First the H5P core team will have to review and merge the code into the official sources, then content types will have to be adjusted (but that's simple then).

Best,

Oliver
