Dear community member,
When talented and enthusiastic people are gathered in one place, the opportunity for innovation is immense. There is a huge potential for a cross-pollination of ideas and the sharing of business opportunities among people from all countries and all kinds of organizations.
Another goal of the conference is to provide top of the range training for both content creators and developers. Whether you're new to H5P and want an intensive introduction or you're an early adopter looking to learn how to use the latest features, we will have training sessions for participants at every level, taught by the very people who built H5P.
We are hosting the first H5P Con in Tromsø, Norway, the hometown of the current H5P Core Team.

Day 1
11th September 2017 - Killengreens gate 6
Training sessions
Parallel training session 1: What is H5P? How can it be used? How do you get started? What are the goals of the project? Intro to creating content with H5P.
Parallel training session 2: We'll learn how experienced content creators create great content efficiently with H5P. The main focus will be on creating Course Presentations, Interactive Videos and Quiz.
Parallel training session 3: We'll learn how to add our own css ovveriding the default styling of H5P content types and the authoring tool, adding and removing authoring tool options, add features like showing a popup when a learner is done with an H5P and how to create our own content types.
Day 2
12th September 2017 - Scandic Ishavshotell
Conference
Falcon will be talking about this and more and serve up some sneak peaks on upcoming features. Falcon will also talk and show teasers of how a world where all content is H5P content will look and feel. The goal is to get a better understanding of the unique features of H5P, our roadmap and our vision.
Changing theme colors, removing buttons +++ is quite easy in H5P. tomaj will teach you the best practices
How does a visually impaired person use H5P? How should content be created and content types be developed to ensure accessibility? thomasmars will preach about accessibility and demo H5P using a read speaker
We'll see how experienced H5P content creators use H5P and learn their best tricks
Here we'll talk about the power of H5P's xAPI integration and tim will show you how H5P result data may be analyzed in Learning Record Stores
Day 3
13th September 2017 - Killengreens gate 6
Conference
We'll be building H5P content types and example content for H5P.org. All H5P Core team members will be joining
We'll do a workshop on the roadmap, re-prioritize issues and give directions for some of the bigger issues
Day 1 and day 3 of the conference will be held at the offices of The Norwegian Centre for ICT in education in the centre of Tromsø. Day 2 is at Scandic Ishavshotell. The city centre is quite small, all hotels located at the centre of Tromsø will be at a walking distance from the conference arena. Scandic Ishavshotel might be Tromsø's best hotell if you plan to eat at the hotel, Comfort Hotel Xpress Tromsø and Smart Hotel are good budget options.
