Do you plan to create plugins for Canvas LMS?

Hi Flemming,

I don't know if you saw the documentation, regarding using embed. :)

Point 8 of the roadmap is to add LTI suport, which will make a plugin for canvas easier to make. And it will make embed much more powerful.

The core team doesn't have time to prioritize a canvas plugin at this point, so it woud be a community effort to program the plugin, if the community wants it.

By the way,

There are several platforms that H5P currently does not support, but that soon will be supported through H5P.com. H5P.com will also integrate third party software to offer support for large videos, math, analytics and storing results in the LMSs.

Canvas will be supported by H5P.com. You can go to H5P.com to learn more and sign up for updates.

I need some way to get a list of the the H5P embed links available on our drupal server. Is there a magic URL that can give me such a list?

Nice work! Unfortunately, there isn't a list of embed links available but you could manually collect them from the examples page - there are only 33 right now.

Hello, 

I was asked to explore H5P and how it supports learning. My institutionn uses Canvas as its LMS and wondering if H5P supports Canvas. If yes, what is it that we should do? Is there a way to work on H5P separately and then upload the content as an HTML file on Canvas. Does it work that way?

Hi Shashi!

There's no plugin for Canvas, but you can of course create and store H5P content here and then embed it in Canvas. It is also planned to open http://h5p.com this year, which will support LTI. It will allow much better integration with Canvas.

 Hello, 

We have been using H5P to create content to embed in CANVAS. Recently we discovered H5P org has disabled the embedding function. We want to start self hosting but can not find information on how to self host on CANVAS. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hosting directly in canvas is not possible but you can have your own hosting account in H5P.com. You can head over to H5P.com and sign up for a free trial. H5P.com will also integrate third party software to offer support for large videos, math, analytics and storing results in the LMSs.
