Download button

Forums:

Hello,

I use pictures under copyright use in my contents. These images can not be dowloaded in any support but when I'm playing on it, there is no way to dowload images hotspot on the frame excepted background display for which I can download it when I click on the right button > put up backgroung images.

It already happens with right of use for each image I use in my content.

How may I hide "put up backgroung image" or "dowload images" buttons access?

Thank you for your answers.

Hi MarikaDelourme,

I'm not sure I follow what you mean. In order to give your question the best chance of getting answered, please include the following information:

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce (exactly how and when did it happen)
  2. Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.
  3. Mobile or Desktop
  4. Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
  5. H5P plugin version
  6. H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P.
  7. Screenshots if it's a visual problem

The more information you provide, the quicker the community will be able to fix it and the quicker you'll have a working solution!

Hi, thanks for your answer

I can not download a screenshot because of copyright license. I will try to explain me better without screenshot.

These images are under copyright license, so I have to hide access for "Save as" or "View background images" icons. The main problem is that when I make a right click, it's displayed "View background images" or "Save as" icons and I would like to hide access on it. How may I do?

I hope my explanations are clearer.

Sincerely,

Hi,

This is how your browser handles images by default. We don't support any special way to show images to users, but not let them capture it in some way. Even if we hijacked the right-click from the browser (which is a bad idea in general), it would still be easy to circumvent for any users with a little technical web knowledge.

For now the best way to ensure that your content is not used by others is to license it through the "rights of use" box we have built into H5P, and if you need to further assure yourself you can put watermarks on your images.

Do you have any examples of sites that hides "Save as" or "View background images" from users ?

Hope this explains the issue properly. Best regards,
Thomas
