Inter. Video : Keep the "Pause" of Tag and Supress the Button "Continue" in the Respons of the Quizz

Hello,

i am a new teacher and i have some difficulties to create a Content... i need help !

I do not speack english very well and it is dificult to understand all the tecnical langage used in this fabulous program...

So, my problem is the folowing : i would like to keep the "Pause" of the Video (when the Tag appears) BUT at the same time supress the Button "Continue" of the response in a quizz i insert in my video. The problem : both options seems to function together... and i don't know why.

I would like my student answers the quizz, and if they fail, i want they try again before being able to Continue seing the video. That's why i want to supress the button "Continue" (but, withtout loosing the tag's pause).

I just succeed one time to supress the Button "Continue" of the quizz and at the same time conserve the Pause of the Video when the Tag appears. But i don't know more what i have done to manage it.

 

So, is there someone to help me to do it. I spend four hours to try every thing, but no results... I am tired.

Hi Celine,

Under "Adaptivity" you need to place a check on "Require full score for task before proceeding". You also have to set the "Action on Wrong". The best setting here is to go back to the part of the video that provides the information for the question. The option "Allow the user to opt out and continue" should also be unchecked.

I have tried before to set the video (and the question) exactly as you recommend it here. But, the problem is always the same :

each time i check the option "Require fill score for task before proceeding" in Adaptivity, the fact to check this option cancels automatically the Option "Display" (for the Timing) : the Pause of the Tag is indeed cancelled so the Quizz appears in a "agressive" or inadequate way).

I don't know how to keep both Options : 1) Don't let my Students "Continue" without finding the right answer and 2) Maintain a good timing for the appearance of the Tag (i mean, the Pause i checked before in "Display" which is always cancelled as soon as i check the Option "Require... before proceeding" in Adaptivity.

Complicated...

If you can help me to keep both ...

 

PS : i always unchecked the Option "Allow to opt out and continue" but the result is the same :

ok the Option "Continue" is disabled but the Timing of the appearance's tag is also impacted.

Hi Céline, 

You are correct,  the "pause" option is greyed out because it automatically gets enable if the "Full score" option is checked.  I'm not really sure what you mean with the timing because the video should still pause at the interval that you set.
