Hello!

At my school, we've been having spotty access to the H5P website / iframe embeds from the website. It's hit or miss when either the website or iframes load. The iframs are embedded into our Moodle installation (from the H5P website). Any thing going on, or anything we can do to get a steady loading experience?

Thank you,

Hi 21cccs!

There are too many people seemingly using the H5P.org servers in production environments instead of using them for testing purposes. This causes a lot of traffic that the servers cannot cope with at the moment. We're working on a solution.

Cheers,
Oliver

Oh, I forgot: You can, of course, simply use the H5P plugin on your moodle server instead of embedding them from h5p.org. That's the way it's supposed to work.

Best,
Oliver

Hello! Make sense. So the reason we don't use the plug in is becuase we embed our content into the Moodle LMS (versus making each H5P an individual Moodle activity). I actually had given the H5P plug in link in the Moodle Plug in Directory to my Moodle Host and it did not pass their vetting: They said "based on our notes, that the plugin does not backup/restore successfully from existing to new course instances. Here is a tracker from the developer on that: https://github.com/h5p/h5p-moodle-plugin/issues/27" --> Do you know if that restore bug was fixed?

Hi 21cccs!

The final note of Svein-Tore (dated March 2017) in that issue reads "This was added to the last release of the H5P plugin for Moodle" ;-)

Cheers,
Oliver
