Interactive video - Submit screen

Dear H5P-community

When creating an interactive video I struggle inserting the submit screen. I have placed the submit screen to a few seconds before the end of the video. However, it does not pop up. The user has to manually click the tiny star at the end of the play bar to see an overview of their submissions.

Does anyone know if it possible to simply have it pop up automatically at the end of a video?

Hi Sara,

By default there is a submit screen at the end of the video. The submit screen is designed to pop-up automatically if there is a graded content in the IV and afaik there is no option to disable this. Having said this can you please share your H5P so that we can check.

Hi, I am finding that I do not have a "submit screen" on my interactive video. I tried adding a summary task to see if that triggers it. But it did not.

Hi, I am not seeing a submit screen or a star icon at the end of my Interactive video. Can you help with this? I even added a summary task to see if it would trigger the creation of a submit screen but it did not.

This is known issue, adding a different scorable interaction should trigger the submit screen to show.

Hi, we've had a similar report though not with a Summary task interaction involved.

After creating an Interactive Video, the activity sometimes a) doesn't include the star icon, although the star icon appears in the playback bar in the editor, and b) doesn't show submitted answers at the end of the video.

I downloaded an example of a test activity where this occurred and put it here: https://integrations.pressbooks.network/h5pinteractivevideo/chapter/chap.... My understanding is that the Submit Screen is typically included automatically, popping up at the end of the video. Is there a reason for it and the star icon not being displayed here?

Hi Thomas,

By default a submit screen is added a few seconds at the end of an Interactive Video. For authors the star is always there because it is used to add/remove submit screens for users/students it is only visible if there is a Submit screen. Additionally a submit screen is only activated once there is at least one scorable content added within the Interactive Video.  Looking at your content it seems that there are no submit screens it might have been deleted. The good news is that you can easily add the submit screen. You can use this guide to help you with the process.
