BV52's picture
Hello Running Moodle 3.5. I've uploaded a less than 5MB video and only have 5 interactions. The activity is loading really slow and when i try to edit the interaction, i often get a 504-Gateway error. I know my comp can view mp4 files. Any advice?

Hi rachelgrz,

In order to give your bug report the best chance of getting answered, please include the following information:

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen)
  2. Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.
  3. Mobile or Desktop
  4. Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
  5. H5P plugin version
  6. H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P.
  7. Any browser console errors
  8. Any PHP errors
  9. Screenshots if it's a visual problem

The more information you provide, the quicker the community will be able to fix it and the quicker you'll have a working solution!

My moodle site uses several hvp content types, one of them being the interactive video content type. However, recently we have started experiencing very long loading times that end up with 503 and 504 timeout errors when we try to access them. We are able to add new interactive video content types in our courses as well.

Moodle version - 4.0.4 and HvP version - 1.23.0(2022121200)

Hi chaosguy!

Have you investigated what's being loaded and what is actually timing out, e.g. in the browser's network tab or on the server itself, e.g in the error log?

Cheers,
Oliver
