Video Interactivity - Possible?

Hi There,

New to H5P...I've just posted a question, but perhaps it's more efficent to just ask if what I want to do is possible with H5P...

Video plays, two buttons (choices) although buttons are visible they are not active until specific time... if during activation time, a button is clicked, go directly to different timecode... if clicked "late" video continues to play, if not clicked, video continues to play... is it possible to score correct button clicks based on two choices?

Many thanks

Hi Neil,

I would assume you are using the "Crossroads" feature of Interactive video. If so there is an option to pause the video when that feature is "active". Unless you are talking about a different thing.

Hi there,

Thanks for the response,

I'm looking for a way to play a video and have branching decision based buttons that jump the viewer to diffirent section of the video...

I'm about to get a bluehost account and download H5P but need to know if it's possible... Will the beta branching authoring tool work?

Many thanks

Hi There,

Hotspots seems to do exactly what I'm looking for... jump to a timecode in the video without another dialog box appearing...

Is it possible to "score" a result based on those decisions?

Many thanks

Hi Neil,

I'm afraid both are not possible.

Hotspots in Interactive video does not generate Xapi statements while the Branching Scenario as seen in this example are multiple short clips.

Hi and thanks again for your response...

under the branching authoring tool "features" it says...

  • "Scoring is can be set per ending or based on points collected through the learner's path. "

this is what I was hoping for... scoring based on a branch decision... is this possible?

Many thanks

Hi Neil,

Sorry for the late reply. I was trying to verify if this feature will provide what you need but I had a hard time getting a score into the LRS. Apparently the scoring was only released yesterday and now it works.

You are correct what you need can be achieved by Branching Scenario you just need to make sure that you have the latest libraries.
