text field doesn´t work/appear

When i try to enter a text in a drag and drop exercise - and the same in fill in the blank, the Text field under "label" doesn´´t open properly as on hp5.org ,  but disappears and i cant change or write text.. We are  using wordpress last version, installation (on siteground) seems ok, other plugins (audio recorder, flashcards work fine, Can somebody help a teacher, not a tecnician? Is it some problem with php configuration, java or security issue? Tried with explorer and firefox on several computers, same issue.Must be something with our wordpress installation, we are looking for (paid) professional help.

Hi Heiner,

1. Could you please attach a screenshot on what you are seeing?

2. Please check the browser console for errors.

3. Please provide the specific version of Wordpress and H5P.

Hi bv52, 

Thank you for answering. i attach two screenshots. Clicking the textfield it just disappears. In h5p.org there is a textfield appearing and i can modify it and import the file to my wordpress installation and it works fine on the frontend, but when i try to modify the imported file in the textfield in the dashboard - backend the textfield  just disappears,  with all the browsers i tried.

my wordpress is:

WordPress 5.1.1, working still with the classic editor

i dont know how to check browser errors, what do you mean?

h5p latest version

Thank you for help  ( i just installed it two days ago,your offer is just what we need, im already working with your audio recorder in our teaching program, but all the extension with sensitive textfield have the same issue. )

Hi Heiner,

I just tested this with the same version of WP and it is working on my end. Could you check for browser errors. I see in your screenshot that you are using Chrome to open the browser console press ctrl+shift+J. You should see there the console tab and please get a screenshot of the error.

Hi Heiner,

Error 403 usually is caused by permission settings or the .htaccess file is misconfigured or corrupted. It can also be caused by another plugin blocking it. Try the following:

  1. Disable other plugins.
  2. Check your permission settings
  3. Generate a new .htaccess files

I'd like to provide you with step by step instructions but this is usually a case to case basis but you should get an idea how to do the things I mentioned above by searching in Google.
