The instituion I work for is in the midst of discussing the integration h5p, so I decided to register for the thirty day free trial. I would like to know if the material I create using this account will still be visible on brightspace even after the trial ends. Also, would I be able to use and share this embedded code?

Thank you for your response. However, it is still unclear as to whether the embedded code will work after H5P trial ends. For example if I embedded the code in my content page of brightpace, and my trial ends, will students still be able to complete the activity or will it disappear?

Hi Ansam,

The site name is used whenever new users get their confirmation e-mail. It is also used as the H5P.com header, if you are registering an organization/school it's best to use its name as the site name.

The URL is what will be used basically for the URL which will look like [site-name].h5p.com. As an example the URL of my site is https://bv-demo.h5p.com/.

You need to enable this content type by going to Manage Organization -> Settings -> Content Type Settings.

I'm afraid you can't access the contents anymore once the trial period ends. I would suggest that you reach out to the Customer Success team of H5P.com to get more details.

Hi Ril,

You have control over who can see your contents. If you set the publishing settings to "public" anyone with the URL of your content can see. While setting it to "protected" only users logged in to the account can see it and you can insert it into an LMS if you have set up the LTI connection. 

Once the trial ends our policy is to keep the contents for 30 days before deleting them permanently if there no other agreements have been made. However you can download the contents prior to the trial expiring and you should be able to use these cotnents on a site/application that supports H5P.

I am using a free trial of h5p and the platform I plan to embed my content in is 'teacheable'. However, the downloaded h5p task does not run on teacheable (at least in the form .h5p) and, when I select 'copy content' there is a message saying that is was copied to the clipboard, but the clipboard remains empty.

Is this because I am not allowed to import tasks while on trial or is it an error?

Hi l.fonini,

You cannot upload nor copy/paste a .H5P file into teachable this is becasue teachable does not support H5P. However you can embed the cotnent in teachable using the embed feature of H5P.

Hi l.fonini,

You can follow the steps below on how to embed contents from H5P.com:

  1. Set the publishing to public (Read this documentation for extra protection).
  2. Under "Display options" place a check on "Display Embed Button"
  3. Once saved under the content you should see the embed button. Clicking on this provide the embed code.
  4. You can then use this code in Teachable wherever iFrame is allowed.

Please note that I do not have access to Teachable so I am unable to verify they do allow iFrames and how to add them. You may reach out to Teachable for these information.

This error message is from H5P. Can you check if the domain whitelisting is enabled but your teachable site is not listed as an allowed domain. Instructions are on this documenation.
