Access previous uploaded media files

Hello,
We are using H5P for the interactive video's and it's great!
One of the things we noticed, is that media files that were previously uploaded are not accessible from the WordPress admin (to edit them or to re-use them). They are also not found in the Media Library.
Is there a way to access them? (not via FTP, that's not what I would like for my cliënt)
Hope to hear from you!

The media files are stored along the content parameters in wp-uploads, but there's no "direct" way of accessing them ftom the backend of WordPress.

Hi Oliver,
Thanks for your reply.
Do you agree that it is not really useful when you want to use the same image / video more than once? The best way now is to upload it again, while I would expect a user can also choose from previous uploaded files..
Is this something that can be a feature request, or might it even be on the roadmap already?
Hope to hear from you,

Hi Kevin!
I don't know any plans of the H5P core team. I don't work for them. However, I assume the behavior is a result from H5P running on multiple platforms, and tailoring the plugins to make use of every single platform's special capabilities was not financially viable option.
Best,
Oliver
