Answers results disappear after refreshing the page

Hello, folks,

I created interactive presentation which contains 20 video's and has tests (multiple answers/single answer type) after each video. When user answers to all questions and submits results it should save results in the gradebook (if I understand it correct). But after refreshing the page all results dissapear and user needs to answer it again. Also there are no grades in gradebook (after user finishes Presentation). Maybe some of you faced this issue or know how to solve it?

This is a view after I completed all course and refreshed the page

Hi Mikas,

3 things that you need to make sure:

  1. For all the Interactive Videos the user needs to click on the submit button in the submit screen.
  2. The users needs to reach the Summary Slide in the Course Presentation
  3. To save the answers you need enable the 'Save Content State' in the H5P settings by going to 'Site Administration' -> 'Plugins' -> 'H5P'.

I just have crosswords on webpages, and the clues disappear on refresh: https://bookdown.org/pkaldunn/SRM-tutorials/TerminologyLect1.html

Hi Peter!

Have you made sure of this (as BV suggested)?

To save the answers you need enable the 'Save Content State' in the H5P settings by going to 'Site Administration' -> 'Plugins' -> 'H5P'.

Best,
Oliver

And where does one find "Site Administration" as a user? I'm looking, but can't see it...

Hi Peter!

What platform are you on? The original post was about moodle, so since you didn't specify anything different, I didn't bother to list the "path" for others. On WordPress, you'll find the "Save content state" option under "Settings" -> "H5P", on Drupal it's "Configuration"- > "System: H5P". That option enables H5P to save the current state in definable time intervals (e.g. what you enteredin Crossword) and retrieve it when you return later.

Best,
Oliver

Blackboard, but Canvas from 2022.  I can't see any place where settings can be set.

Hi Peter!

So, you're using H5P.com? Sorry to say that I think it doesn't offer the "save content state" option at all, but maybe someone from the H5P core team will correct me.

Best,

Oliver

Hi Everyone,

OIiver is correct the  "save content state" is not yet available in H5P.com. There are plans to develop this feature however we do not have a timeline when it will be released.

I don't have interactive videos. I just have crosswords on a webpage... and yes, the clues disappear on refresh (see https://bookdown.org/pkaldunn/SRM-tutorials/TerminologyLect1.html).

My issue is different: The crossword *clues* disappear

Hi Peter!

May I recommend that you try to follow the guideline that's shown at the top of the bug report forum if you report something that you think is a bug? The information that's requested helps tremendously when someone wants to understand what your problem is and when trying to reproduce it. May I also recomment to create a new post if your issue is different to the one that the original poster had? That'd help to prevent misunderstandings as the one above.

The clues are what I have highlighted in orange on the image that I attached. They appear just fine when I load and reload Crossword on your site (using Chrome or Firefox on a desktop system or Chrome on a mobile device, didn't check other browsers so far, but I wouldn't know what difference that should make).

Cheers,
Oliver
