H5P Drag and Drop on LapTop Touchscreen

Bugs in content types

The H5P drag and drop content type is not working on a Microsoft touchscreen with windows 10. It works when not using the mouse, but not touchscreen. I have tried Google Chrome 95.0.4638.69 and Mozilla 93.0  and Internet explorer. Wordpress version 5.8.1. Please let me know if there is anyway to fix this. It is also an issue on smartboards as well. I cannot get the drag and drop to work on any smartboard with any browser.

Yup. There's a ticket for that or something similar (https://h5ptechnology.atlassian.net/browse/HFP-3063). There's a potential fix for that (https://github.com/h5p/jquery-ui/pull/1). There doesn't seem to be enough time available for the H5P core team to take care of reviewing and releasing the fix however.

I think if that code in fact fixes the issue, than deploying it to your site is hardly commercially profitable for anyone, because it would only take a couple of minutes. If that code does not fix the issue, than it's hard to predict the costs. On top, all "patches" would be overwritten when the H5P core team releases an update to the official library in question - and if that update does not contain the fix, then you'd be hanging in there with a broken system again. This should really be looked at by the H5P core team.

Hello there. I tried this solution for smart board. It was not successful. Other solutions are needed.

Please note though that it is NOT recommended to change the version number on your own! When the H5P core team releases a later version that uses the same version number (and potentially contains more fixes or other changes), then H5P will not install it (as it thinks that it is already installed). This may lead to unpredictable consequences and incompatibilities. Please see this comment for further details and how to install patched libraries properly.
