H5P Copy/Paste Not working

Hello!

Hoping someone can help me! I have used H5p on our Moodle LMS for a couple years now and I love it!

Recently, we created another Moodle LMS for a different product and installed the H5P plugin. However, on this new Moodle site, the H5P paste and replace option will not work. I created several courses on this new LMS and when I try to copy/paste and replace the H5P activity from one course to another it won't work.

In our original LMS, I use this all the time the same exact way and I have no issues. Any idea what might be happening? I am using the same site/server and just trying to copy an activity from course A to course B within our new Moodle site.

For example, I wanted to copy this Image hotspot activity from one course into a similar course on the same site but it just keeps saying this Loading, please wait...and never copies. It doesn't matter what type of activity it is...none of them will copy.

I am using Moodle 3.11 (Build: 20210517)

Thank you in advance!

HI BV!

I will do my best to answer these questions.

  1. I made a video of the 2 issues I am having for our tech team to try and troubleshoot but they haven't had time to actually look into it as it is low priority for them but high priority for my needs. They will show you exactly what is happening.  You can view the 2 videos here:              Issue 1 - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1q6mk9YMCXKCzlrLyejDlGwWBLkMR0o3z/view?u...
    Issue 2 - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qI2V6rd7VvsvOd39m54EPl3od0Hn83dA/view?u...
  2. We are using Moodle 3.11 (Build: 20210517)
  3. Desktop
  4. Chrome is up to date - Version 100.0.4896.88 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  5. H5P mod_hvp 1.22.4 2022012000
  6. The issues happen on ALL activities but at random times as pointed out in the videos.
  7. No errors...just stuck on Loading please wait
  8. No PHP errors

I also confirmed with another colleague that the same issue happens when she duplicates the steps in Moodle.

We have no issues using copy/replace and paste with our other moodle LMS site. The only difference is that we did not buy a theme with this new moodle site and on our previous one we are using Edwiser RemUI.

Many Thanks!

Hi RaeShel,

Thank you for the videos. Would you mind double checking the browser console, usually accessed by pressing F12 on the keyboard and check if you have any error messages there. Preferably you check the console when the issue is happening "Loading please wait" message is on the screen or while saving the content.

Hi!

I don't see any error messages on the browser console when the issue occurs.

Sure!

I don't see any errors in the browser console. I looked first thing this morning before doing anything else.

Here is an image. (Just for some context I created this "Test" course yesterday and didn't have any problems with H5P loading correctly or copy/paste and replace.)

Hi RaeShel,

We are getting close you just need to click on the console tab.

Hi RaeShel,

You don't say whether in your Moodle courses you are using the H5P plugin (the black icon) or the h5p activity (the blue icon and Content Bank) .

Since your question is related to the behaviour of H5P on a Moodle site I suggest you re-ask your question on the relevant Moodle forum at https://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=8603
