Hi!

The version of Image Juxtaposition that H5P Group is serving on h5p.org is 1.4.1 which was finished in March 2020. The latest version is 1.5.3 however which was made available in February 2023. That version contains a couple of changes, including resizing. It is possible that what you are experiencing will be fixed by that version, but H5P Group is not yet offering this one for download, and I don't know when they will.

Best,
Oliver

So the WordPress versions, some of them are out of date?

Hi!

This has nothing to do with WordPress at all.

H5P Group is not the author of Image Juxtaposition. That's me. I have updated that content type (and many others that I created), but the H5P Hub (via h5p.org) is not serving the latest version, but the old 1.4 version. They'd need to update that, so you can install a later version. Or you would need to build the latest version yourself directly using the source code and install the library directly.

Best,
Oliver

I can just put that whole code into the h5p folder in WP?

No, that doesn't work. It's not the same purpose, but Peter Baumgartner described the steps required at https://peter.baumgartner.name/2021/04/12/h5p-library-installation/

can you give me the .h5p to upload to the h5p library?

No, I am sorry.

why not?

Hey!

Short answer: On the grounds that I don't want to.

Before you ask why I don't want to:

a) I have invested hundreds of hours of free time into creating H5P thingies and supporting here on this community forum. Others could do, too. They decide not to, so I decide not to from time to time as well.

b) I have already delivered you a link to a quite extensive tutorial on how to build H5P libraries. My best guess is that you have not even tried.  I could be terribly wrong - then I am sorry - but if I was, then I'd have expected you to answere a question related to the tutorial. This forums is not intended to be a "Here all my problems get solved by others" place. So amending a) If I support on this forum by sacrifing free time, I do it on my on terms.

c) If I built that library for you now, what if the next person asks for the same favor for a different version or a different conent type? How could I say no then?

d) There are some deficiencies of how the H5P project works, e.g. content type contributors not being able to update their content types on the H5P Hub on their own. A solution has been floated years ago, but no progress seems to have been made. And I am getting tired of being expected to compensate for those things.

Best,
Oliver

What would it take to get full support for the H5P opensource? The AR Scavenger one could use some work too but not massive, just some more tweaking. If you don't want to share what works then it's fine. It's cool the H5P stuff exist. Hopefully it can get more support. What made you decide to stop sharing?

Hi AntDX316,

For me, I don't think it fair to expect "full support" for a free software. As Oliver said the instructions provided is sufficient enough to be able to build the libraries. Oliver has done more than enough to develop the content type and actually fix the issue that you reported. We just need to review, test and release his newest version. I will follow up with the Product team but I can't promise if and when it will be released.

I understand but it would be cool to leave some training on how to do this with AI so we can have better components when people retired.
