Multiple Selection and Alignment Tools

I wonder if it might be possible to have a tool that allows the user to select more than item, e.g. drag and drop items, say usingthe Ctrl key. I often do lots of things using lots of items that have to resized individually, and this would allow changes to made across alll items simultaneously. How about align tools, i.e. align bottom, left, top, right? And what about distribute vertical and horizontal tools too?

I agree that such a feature would be extremely useful. It would save a lot of time and effort when creating/editing a drag and drop content.
