Hi,
I'd like to translate a H5P content marked "reuse" into another language and slightly modify it for my students. Is this generally allowed if there is a reuse button?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Micky88!
This will probably vary from country to country. It's copyright laws, not anything that H5P imposes or controls.
Cheers,

Hi Oliver,
Thanks for your reply.
I think you're from Germany right? Me too. Could you please tell me whether it's allowed to make said changes to a H5P content in this country?

Hi!
In Germany, if you cannot use the content in accordance with the copyright law exceptions for teaching and science (§60a ff. UrhG) and the author has not licensed the content under a permissive license, then you are not allowed to do anything. You'd have to get permission from the author. So, I'd check whether the author happens to have specified an open license in the metadata of the content. You should see a "Rights of use" button next to the "Reuse" button in that case.
Best,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
Thanks again for your quick reply.
There does exist a "Rights of use" button next to the "Reuse" button, however, the information inculded onl refers to the sources of the images that the author himself as used in the H5P content. I think I'll refrain from using the content.
