Hotspot within Branching scenario not functional

Hi, anyone else not able to see the pop-ups at all?

Content types:

Same here, the hotspot on the image are there but not displaying any content :(

I temporarily fixed it by removing line 156 in /h5p/libraries/h5p.imagehotspots-1.9/scripts/hotspot.js 156: self.parent.fullscreenButton.tabIndex = -1;

Hi All,

It would be a big help if you can provide the information requested in this forum

Since there are no other information except that the hotspots are not working in Branching Scenario a created a test content and it works for me.

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen) After an Moodle upgrade to the latest version of Moodle, the Image Hotspots previously created and embedded in a Branching Scenario had the clickable buttons, but the popup did not appear. The Image Hotspot does work as a separate actvity. I recreated the Image Hotspot, and the error persists.
  2.  Moodle 3.11.5 Build 20220211 tested on both Mac and Windows
  3. Mobile or Desktop Tested in both
  4. Browser: Chrome and Edge on Mac and Windows
  5. H5P plugin versionH5P framework v1.24 (h5plib.-v124)

1. Used PressbooksEDU and  H5P plugin to create a branching scenario with two image hotspots.

2. I'm unsure of PressbooksEDU version number. I tested it in Edge and Chrome

The answer to 7 is really no? How did you check? Could you please share (access to) your content?

Hi- I reported the issue with the Moodle update and the Image Hotspot not working in Branching Scenario on 2/24. Is there any update on this issue? Or, do I need to provide further information? Thanks so much for any help on this problem.

Hi danto2,

Can you verify if this issue can be reproduced in my sample content. Also are you sure there are no errors in the browser console. It would also help if you can provide a link to your content. Below is what I have done so far to try an isolate the issue:

  1. Create a simple test content. It works in H5P.com, Wordpress, Moodle and Drupal.
  2. I uploaded your content and works on the platforms I mentioned above.

So it is not the content itself.

Hello- There is a browser error. I was not aware of how to find that, but I am now. Here is a link to a screen shot of the error on the Chrome browser. Do you need me to send it for other browsers as well? Thanks again, Deb

Hi Deb,

Thank you for the screenshot. This looks like it has been resolved in here,  can you make sure that you have updated libraries for Image Hotspots.

Hi BV- I sent our IT person the fix you included, but he reported "I did a search in the file system for hotspot.js and did not find it."

Any suggestions? I have administrative permissions, but I am not certain where to look, I have no experience with javascript. Thanks for any help. Deb

Hi Deb,

Since you mentioned that you have admin permission you should be able to install the updated libraries yoursellf. Just download my test content and upload it just like you are uploading a content. This should update your the libraries for hotspot and Branching Scenario.
