Quiz (Question Set) - no question input available

Hi there,

I want to create a question set quiz with H5p and I am facing always the same problem: There is no question input form available in the creation sheet. The form always looks like the screenshot I attached to my text below: There is an input for title, introduction and score - and than it ends: There's no question input and the rest of the options shgown in the tuorial. No error code is shown, but this looks quite different from what I expected reading the tutorial. I am using a H5P running on an edupool system, provided by our school administration (so called "Mediathek"). When I contacted the local edupool admin hosting the H5P module, he told me that it must be a H5P problem and it's not due to a  failed configuration of the edupool servers. I can't decide this, since I have no access to the server framework. I could not find out much about the H5P version, because it's embedded. So that's what I could find out: Meanwhile I tried several computers (Windows 10 Notebook/Desktops from different networks) and Chrome,Edge, Firefox - always the same story. I dont't think that it is a setting problem (in my account) either.

Can you help me to get the full functionality of the quiz application, I think it's a multi-purpose application and I would like to use it often?
Thank you for your support.

Kind regards

AfromK

Hi A from K!

So, edupool is a service provider that hosts H5P for you and tries to divert responsibility to someone else - I'd complain at your Landesschulbehörde (or whoever is responsible) if I were you. It's well possible that it is some problem with H5P, but it's still your providers obligation to find out what is wrong. Or would you accept a cook serving you soup made of rotten tomatoes and accept the excuse that the farmer is responsible for the tomatoes?

Anyway, you will need to give us a little more information, check the development console in particular. It's likely there's some error message showing up there. Usually it's enough to press F12 in order to open the dev console (depending on your browser). You can watch https://youtu.be/Ugc9iStwiik?t=600s tarting at around 10:00 for some more insight.

Best,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

definitely you were right: It was a problem of the provider. I ran the console and found an "Uncaught TypeError". I discussed my findings again with the provider who is responsible for 'my' h5p. His team fixed the problem: Several program libraries on the edupool server weren't connected properly. Now it works fine.  Problem solved, thread closed.
Thank you and have an nice weekend.

Kind regards
