Problems with images

I tried to incorporate different features with the "Column layout" in Moodle. For example the Drag and Drop feauture and the Multiple Choice feature. There I wanted to upload an image. This is really important, especially for the Drag and Drop feature. I have no problems uploading it, but other participants of the Moodle course can not see it. Why is this so and what can I do against it?

Thank you for your help!

  1. Uploaded the image which is saved on my computer
  2. Moodle (sorry I do not know the version)
  3. Desktop
  4. Safari
  5. I also do not know the plugin version, because it is preinstalled on our Moodle platform
  6. Drag and Rop and Multiple Choice as part of the coloumn layout
  7. I attached the H5p
  8. I can view the image (on multiple devices) but other participants of the course can not see it

Thank you!

1.) In a first step I uploaded the image I have saved on my computer. This worked fine.
2.) Moodle
3.) Desktop
4.) Safari
5.) no idea (preinstalled in Moodle)
6.) Drag and drop as part of a column layout
7.) I can not attach the H5P file and you can probably not use the URL because it is part of a Moodle course and just participants of this course can see the content
8.) I can view the image, but other participants of the course can not see it

Thank you!

Does anyone know why my images are always really large, even when I resize them before uploading?

Thank you

Hi teret,

If you are inserting the images in Column it automatically occupies the available space inside the content. There is a way to resize them by using a PHP hook, to add your own CSS-file to the content type. Please visit the Visual Changes page for more details. Please note that you will need some coding knowledge to accomplish this.
