Issues with H5P on Moodle 4.3.4 Hosted Online
Description:
Hi everyone,
I'm currently experiencing issues with integrating H5P on my Moodle 4.3.4 site, which is hosted online. I've followed the basic steps to set up H5P, but I'm encountering some problems that I can't seem to resolve.
Here's a brief overview of my setup and the issues I'm facing:
- Moodle Version: 4.3.4
- Hosting Provider: OVH (online hosting)
- H5P Plugin: Installed the latest version from the Moodle plugins directory.
Issues:
- When attempting to create or edit H5P content, I sometimes get errors or the content doesn't save properly.
- Some H5P content types don't load correctly or fail to display as expected.
- Performance seems to degrade significantly when using H5P, even with a moderate number of users.
Steps I've Taken:
- Verified that all required PHP extensions for H5P and Moodle are enabled.
- Checked file permissions to ensure that Moodle and H5P can read/write necessary files.
- Increased PHP memory limit and max execution time to handle larger H5P files.
- Ensured that the database settings (MySQL) are optimized for performance.
Configuration Details:
- PHP Version: 8
- Database: MySQL 8
- Server RAM: 4 GB
- data bases RAM : 520 MB
Despite these efforts, the issues persist. I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions from the community on how to resolve these problems. Has anyone else faced similar issues with H5P on Moodle 4.3.4, especially on a hosted environment like OVH?
Thanks in advance for your help!
