Downloading captions from existing video

Hi :)
My friend ask me for help in getting the text of a video lecture.
As this video has caption and instead of waisting lots of hours for writing what the lecturer said I wonder if there's a way to save the caption file.
How do I get to the file? What to look for?

I don't see the point in transcribing a video word by word anyway (it is not the same as a textbook or at least should not be) -- why don't you simply take notes of what is important to you in your own words, add links to similar things that you know and also note questions that come to your mind, so you can look for answers later if the video does not give them, etc.?
