Not compatible with FE Paths module

When uploading images to a multiple choice style interactive component, I get a 404. After some debugging, it appears that the fe_paths module has a callback in the drupal_shutdown_function which causes the image to get removed from the h5peditor directory and placed in the directory according to the fe_paths config. I believe other modules have this issue too, like <a href="https://www.drupal.org/node/1647598">Imagefield Crop</a>

Does anyone know of a workaround?

Would be great if this module integrated with File Entity in general.

Thank you for the feedback. Since that module isn't stable and not much used the core team won't be able to prioritize fixing this :/ Hopefully someone who uses it might be able to provide a fix.
