Hot Spot Image

Can any one help me . I am looking to use the hot spot image feature, where I can mark various hot spots. On selecting a hot spot, a choice of 2 options come up , one being right and the other being wrong. The student selects one of the options and whether  its the correct option or wrong option, the correct option appears with additional information. I also need to be able to record the amount of correct selections chosen.

So for example, if I used the periodic table and marked the element IRIDIUM as a hot spot, and on selecting the hot spot two choices came up, ALKALI METAL as one choice ,TRANSITION METAL as the other choice. If the student chose ALKALI METAL, which is incorrect, the correct answer TRANSITION METAL would appear along with further information about the element IRIDIUM.

if the image had say 6 hot spots on it, I would then need to know how many the student got right.

The idea is trying to get the students to remeber information, via picture association on short tests.

Any ideas ?

Hi Harriet,

There isn't an option in image hotspot that can do what you want to accomplish here. What I suggest is use course presentation and use the drag and drop feature within it. This way you can create multiple slides/questions to prepare the lesson/quiz for students.

Hi, thanks for the response, thats not quite giving me what I was after. I am after creating an interactive image as opposed to a slide show, so that on completion of finding all the hot spots you are left with an image with the correct symbol by each hot spot.

Hi Harriet,

As I mentioned earlier this feature is not available in the image hotspot.Though I imagine this feature will be a helpful addition to the content. I moved the post to the feature request thread to have better traction.
