For years Chrome has been the browser we have relied upon for the "Speak The Words" content type.
Since Chrome 139 (August 2025), however, Chrome has been moving towards on-device speech recognition. In the latest release, Chrome 160, even the Web Speech API demo at https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/demos/speech.html is no longer working on my Windows 10 laptop. When pressing the microphone button on the page, it appears to be listening but does not process any microphone input.

I have always been interested in this project, and love the examples that I've seen. I had never actually tried it, though, and I recently sold a very large project to a world-leading academic institution based on some of the things available with H5P. I have been trying to set-up an MVP to demonstrate, but I am encountering issues first with connecting to the servers (in what seems rto be a known based on discussions and issues reported in the github repo) and subsequently with using Lumi to get started but encountering issues with publishing content that has videos embedded.

I am unable to get the h5p plugin to work for my institutions Pressbooks account, which we have through SUNYConnect / Reclaim Domain. 
 The plugin is activated, but I am unable to upload anything useful or access any basic library. 

I was able copy an enter Pressbook which included H5P activities successfully, but this still did not activate my ability to add H5P content or access the library.

Has anyone seen this type of thing before. Reclaim Domain's Help Desk has not been able to help.
