Installation and server related problems

I'm trying to update the h5p libraries to the latest version but it seems nothing happens.

I'm running a moodle 3.1 installation and have updated the h5p plugin from version RC 1.07 to version 1.0. The plugin update worked fine.

On the h4p libraries page I see:

you are running 2017-02-14

available update 2017-03013

So I downloaded the file for all content types (official-h5p-release-20170313.h5p) and put it in the select file field on the update libraries page. The I click upload but nothing visible changes. There is still the message

I'm trying to install H5P 1.0-RC.8 on a brand new Moodle 3.2 installation. There is no "Install Now" button on the H5P Moodle plugins page so I downloaded it and tried to install manually. I drug the mod_hvp_moodle32_2017021500.zip file into the upload box and clicked the "Install plugin from the ZIP file" button. Immediately, I get a completely white page within my browser. The URL is . . . admin/tool/installaddon/index.php.

I tried again and declared the plugin type as "Activity module (mod)" then tried supplying the root name but get the same result.

Ideas?

We love H5P and wouldn't even consider delivering our courses without it, thank you.

The issue:

We are having issues with Moodle 3.2 to backup a course with H5P content.

It seems the backup times out or hangs indefinetely.

I'm not sure why this happens but, most certainly others would have noticed or experienced it somehow.

Questions:

Does this happens frequently?

Is there a know work around?
