My primary goal is to implement new instructional methods that depart from rote memorization, use interactive content in my lectures, and integrate technology into the learning experience while enhancing student-centered learning. In essence, I plan to embed interactive videos and branching scenarios into my (power point) lectures, highlighting dental hygiene/dental patient case scenarios. My secondary goal is to offer multi-modal learners, those students who learn with visual, aural, read-write, and or kinesthetic learning preferences, with a more engaging, welcoming, and supportive classroom for my General and Oral Pathology course.
