Hi,
It seems there is default word limit for the instant feedback of essay type of content? Can I remove that limit? or, where can I modify it? Thanks!

Hi!
There is no word limit in H5P Essay. You can limit the number of characters in the behavioral settings if you want to, but that's totally optional. Are you possibly referring to a different content type?

Hi chloe!
Aah, sorry. Got it now. You're referring to the overall feedback section. The fields there are limited to 255 characters, and you would have to change the code to alter this. I suggest you post a feature request in the forum, outlining your idea and why you think the change would be useful.
Best,
Oliver

Sure! That's the beauty of open source software.
I justed dug into the code of H5P and learned something new myself. There actually is an "easy" way to do it, but you will probably need at least a little experience with coding or the will to tinker a little bit.
There's some documentation about how to alter the authoring part of H5P which will descripe the basics for Drupal, WordPress and moodle. This will sound weird: You will have to crawl your way to the field named "feedback" and add an argument maxLength with the value that you want. This post might also help you.
Best,
