Wondering how you can set a passing grade of 80% for each activity?

Hi priyapatel,

Afaik most if not all of the quiz type contents have an option for this. This is under the behavioural settings as "Pass Percentage".

If I wanted the whole activity to have a passing grade of 80% would I need to set pass percentage to 80 for every question type?

Hi Priya,

You are correct you need to set the percentage for each activity.

So if I am using a course presenation, I would set the pass percentage to be 80% for each question in there too?

Sorry, can you then explain what 'maximum grade' does if I was setting the passing grade to 80%?

Hi Priya,

I assume you are using Moodle. If so Moodle handles the scoring and passing percentage of H5P contents. It's up to you on how you want Moodle to score it. Please note though that Moodle handles the score by giving the content the maximum score and deducting every mistake. An example of this is that if you have a content with 10 points but set up Moodle with a maximum score of 5. If the user/student makes 5 mistakes Moodle will show a score of 0/5.

So the best course of action would always be the Maximum score set in Moodle is the same as the number of items/questions in the H5P content.
