Chemical and Maths Formulas

Might is be possible to develop the menu to include superscript and subscript for the fill in the blanks questions so we can do chemical and maths questions?

Hi,

I created a task on this. And we will see if it gets picked up for implementation. The problem could be that it's difficult for students to use it in answers.

Oops, sorry I didnt see it. I would think that for it to work well you would want to have a see through blank button

I'm dealing with chemical and mathematical formulas, too. I think it would be extremely useful to have the possibility for students to fill in text with sub- and superscript possibility. Maybe as an option the H5P-builder can switch on and off, so if you don't need it won't be able. Or if it would be possible to place the input fields super- and subscript. Than every part of the formula would have its own input field without having the trouble implementing an editor button or something like that .

As an engineering and maths teacher I would like to see greater abilty to use the equation editor.

That is, I would like it to be availible enter equation style in more kinds of quizes - so that it could be the answers in multiple choice or drag'ndrop etc. We would not need students to input so much if we could format the questions and answers in this way.

I'm no coder, but it seems that we already have the equation editor integrated into the RichText editor - but not all inputs use this, many only use a simple text input (like this comment box).

Sorry, my mistake - I've had another look. We don't have an equation editor do we? I'm using too many editors to get my content done.

Can we have one please?

Hi SparTacuS,

You are correct we don't have one yet.

Thanks a lot for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! We’re now working on something called the H5P supporter program allowing the H5P community to vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then works on a feature they find interesting or useful.
