upload size limit?

hello - just wondering - is there an upload size limit for uploading H5P in to the H5P site? I am trieing to upload an H5P but keep getting an error message.

Hi akaskens,

Maximum upload size for any files uploaded across the site is 16 MB.

Keep getting the flag "the file you are trying to upload might be too large" even though the file I'm uploading is about 0.25MB

Can you give me a clue on what is happening

Can you please check if you are having a similar issue with this thread. If not please provide the following:

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen)
  2. Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.
  3. Mobile or Desktop
  4. Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
  5. H5P plugin version
  6. H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P.
  7. Any browser console errors
  8. Any PHP errors
  9. Screenshots if it's a visual problem

The more information you provide, the quicker the community will be able to fix it and the quicker you'll have a working solution!

Manged to upload backgroud image after working wih EDGE instead pf Chrome

Hi SamirNus,

That is correct. The issue seems to be with the current version of Chrome. Although the core team of H5P is having a difficult time in isolating what component of Chrome is causing this since none of us are unable to reproduce the issue on any of our computers.

Hi Hamreheden,

To avoid abuse H5P.org has a 16MB upload size limit. However if you use one of the 3 supported frameworks you will have control over how large the files you can upload. Furthermore you can sign-up for a subscription in H5P.com which provides a 1000 MB upload limit.
