Timeline: Today options (1) button (2) default start date

Add 'Today' options to the Timeline tool.

This would be helpful for Timelines that deal with current events.

Option 1: 'Today' button goes to Today's date in Timeline

Option 2: Option in settings to open the Timeline at Today's date

I am using Timelines to show events for a year.  A today option would be a great feature as it gives a large blank space to the left of the timeline at present.

Great idea and conceptual images. This would open up the Timeline activity to be used for a wider range of applications.

How can this prioritized on the Feature Request List?
