Content creation and uploading

Hi

I recently installed the H5P plugin on our wrodpress site. We're using Learndash, memberpress and buddyboss. I can create the content but I finish creating it goes to the next window and doesn't show content. I can see that contents were created on List of contents page but it doesn't allow me to publish the content. We  have another wordpress site which is used more for publishing and I installed H5P on that site and it seems to work perfectly fine. Do I need any extra paid plugins for H5P to work with LearnDash?

Hi passpharma,

You don't need an extra plugin for this to work. Check if you have any errors in the browser console as it may give you some clues to what could be causing the issue. Disabling/configuring other plugins may also help.

Hi,

I've disabled all the plugins and even the theme so its a pure wordress site but still not working. Please see the attached screenshot.

Hi Team,

I do not seem to be able to embed the H5P embed code into MemberPress (see the attached screenshot). Is there a way to resolve this issue? Will having a licence from H5P.com help me, or is this a MemberPress issue?

Hi Col,

It is possible that MemberPress have a specific way of using iFrame embed codes, I would suggest that you reach out to them to check on how this can be done.

Hi BV,

Thx for your reply, I have it working now, but there seems to be good and bad news :-)

It looks like you need to select the 'custom html' (from the 'widgets' area) in MemberPress to make the H5P embed code work, and from what I can see, the H5P embed code needs to have been generated from elements created in H5P.com, not H5P.org, and not from the Wordpress plugin.

So, yes it can be done, but from what I can tell, a licence with H5P.com is needed. Ok for me, perhaps not for others.

Hi!

The iframe code has no restriction to a certain site. Please provide more details if you fail to embed from h5p.org (which has no restrictions) or from a different server (which may in fact prevent embedding its content on a different site, but that's a server setting, not one of H5P).

Best,

Oliver

Hi Oliver, where can I find the iframe code? I can only see the shortcode on H5P page. However, I'm having the same issue - if I insert the shortcode in memberpress page, the quiz doesn't show up on the live site. Please advise, thanks.

Hi!

You can retrieve an embed code that will include an iframe by clicking on the "Embed" button underneath the H5P content when you view it in the editor.

It would help if you provided more information that will help someone to reproduce and investigate the issue, please cmp. https://h5p.org/forum/9 where that is outlined. Usually, reporting any errors in the development console of the browser are most useful.

Without that, my best guess is that the theme/Memberpress does not execute the wp_footer action, please compare https://h5p.org/comment/42682#comment-42682

Best,

Oliver

I just installed H5P and Memberpress on my Wordpress site. I made a quick sample H5P activity and I can insert it into a Wordpress blog post with the shortcode easily. However, when I try to insert the H5P into a Memberpress course lesson page, it appears to work, but then does not appear on the live site. I've seen this issue mentioned a couple of times on these forums, but never with a solution for using the Wordpress H5P plugin - is it possible to use that plugin with Memberpress courses?
