Third Party Cookies bug
I'm currently getting an error when trying to view H5P interactives embedded in Canvas (browser is Chrome), despite having third party cookies enabled in Chrome. Attached are screenshots of the error message and the relevant part of my Chrome settings.
UPDATE
It seems that despite what Chrome settings are telling me, the problem is indeed caused by the browser and not H5P. This is based on https://www.whatismybrowser.com/detect/are-third-party-cookies-enabled showing me that my cookies are blocked. Another colleague who is not having this issue showed that cookies are not blocked.
It's especially bizarre given that my colleague and I compared settings in chrome and they're identical, both of us have enabled third party cookies according to the settings. We also both have the same version, and both disabled all extensions.
But in any case, it seems to be caused by Chrome and not H5P.

Hi Jack,From the screenshot
Hi Jack,
From the screenshot that you provided I am assuming that you have a subscription with H5P.com. Having said this I suggest that you reply to the e-mail that was sent to you as confirmation of your subscription. As far as I know enabling the 3rd party cookies fixes this issue but in your case it does not. So a closer look from H5P.com's dev team is needed.

Hi,
Thanks for the information. That email would have been sent a couple of years ago and I can't find it. I do indeed have an account through the institution I work for. Is there any way to pass on information to the H5P team through these forums?

Hi Jack,
I think you are on to something, this coud be caused by a plugin in Chrome that blocks cookies. Try disabling them and see if it would work.
I have also informed the H5P.com development team regarding this post and we should be hearing from them very soon.

Thanks
Thanks for passing this on to the dev team. Even if it's not caused by H5P, some insight on what we can do to help users would be appreciated. Perhaps the 'Third-party cookies blocked' screen could even be edited to include recommended steps.
As a side note, I did disable all Chrome extensions during the testing which didn't fix the problem. Couldn't identify anything different between my chrome configuration and my colleague's, but there must be something.

Same here
Howdy - we are experiencing the same issues. Some users can see the content, while some have to authenticate on each page there is an embedded activity in Canvas. Users cleared cache, enabled cookies, tried new browsers, tried incognito, and tried accessing the content at home vs school. I'm stumped as to why the troubleshooting tips work for some but not all. Any suggestions?

I'm having a similar problem with authentication on an ipad running an older ios that i can't update past anymore (12.4.6) Works fine on latest release but when I go to authenticate ipad on ios 12 and / or turn off block all cookies and prevent cross site tracking, it comes up with unable tp set authentication cookie - any ideas or suggestions please?

Vanity URL
Does H5P support a "vanity" URL as a solution to this problem?
So instead of using myschool.h5p.com, it would be h5p.myschool.edu (the service is still hosted by H5P, only the hostname changes).
We're already doing this for other external services to solve their 3rd party cookies errors. Is this possible with H5P?

Not as of the moment. But this is a good suggestion I will forward this to the developers of H5P.com.

Thanks BV. Now that browsers
Thanks BV. Now that browsers are starting to block 3rd party cookies by default, changing the URL seems to be the only viable solution to fix it for all of our users.
