Use Dialog Cards under Column

I like using Column and have a main exercise followed by different kinds of Content as follow-up exercises.
I have, for example, a Drag & Drop text - a Cloze test with 20 gaps (I have another question about that) - and I´d like to use Dialog Cards to deal with some vocabulary. But this is not available if I want to add Content, at least not on my Moodle platform. Is there a way to incorporate Dialog Cards in Column?
Thanks

Supporter votes Members of the Supporter Network can vote for feature requests. When the supporter network has generated sufficient funding for the top voted feature request it will normally be implemented and released. More about the H5P Supporter Network

I started creating Cloze tests (texts with 20 gaps and a box with the words to drag back in place). As there are so many answers, I would like students to be able to see the result (say 14 correct out of 20), then press Retry , but leaving the correct ones in place. It's a bit of a ´drag´  (see what I did there?) to have to do the correct ones all over again.
I´m adding the exercise as I've designed it so far.
Thanks

Hi Jan,

It should be available, but since it is not in your instance of Column I suggest that you download my content here and upload it in Moodle. A tip, if a complex content type such as Question Set, Column etc. has a missing activity that you can create in H5P.org what you can do is create it here with the activity needed and upload it into Moodle. This trick usually fixes this issue.

I saw what you did there :-), however this feature is not available in the official version of Drag and Drop. Although if I'm not mistaken Papi Jo has an experimental version that has this feature. You can read more about this here.

Thanks! I created a fast Dialog Cards under Column here, sent it up to Moodle and the content type is now there.
I'll check out Papi Jo. I already saw sb with the same question

Morning!
So, I worked with Column and under Column I had several Content types, like Text, Drag and Drop and also Course Presentation. What I didn't have was Dialog Cards as I explained in a previous Q. So I created a small test here at H5P.org with Column and Dialog Cards, imported it into our Moodle Platform and it worked. But now I notice that if I import one of my old ones into one of my classrooms, it can't read my Course Presentation Content any more. So under Column I have lots of options, including Dialog Cards, but no longer Course Presentation which formed an important part of my activity design(s). I still have it, of course, but not under Column.
I also get messages about conflicting versions 1.11, 1.4, 1.8. The Moodle platform we have is like a closed circuit where only students and teachers registered in state schools (the state being Castille and Leon, Spain) have access. The applications the platform offers are, I believe, watered-down versions (like Teams) and we have no say over the settings. I don't understand if I start a new H5P I now have a different coonfiguration and only because I imported one little test exercise, and I can't get the old one back. I'd like to "reset" even if it meant losing Dialog Cards again under Column.
Also, I love Course Presentation to create slides, some of which contain videos. Is there another Content Type that does sth similar?
I find it hader to be concise with this question. I actually sent a message to our Castille & Leon platform, asking if they had changed the initial settings of H5P and they, of course, anwered they hadn't touched anything and it wasn't even in their hands to do anything.
Hope it's clear. I'm adding a screenshot of my platform when I add H5P interactive content (not that it tells you anything)
Thanks
Jan

Hi Jan,

It looks like you are using an older version of the H5P plugin. I suggest that you contact the administrator for Moodle and update the plugin. This could be an issue with conflicting library versions of H5P. Also I would suggest that the administrator update the content types.

Hi BV52
I already did. And they said that the all the applications they are offering are, sort of, outsourced and they have no way to configure or do anything. It seems strange to me though, that just by importing one little H5P try-out I made here at H5P-org, I seemto have overruled the standard version of our Moodle platform. And that now I can no longer paste and copy (or upload) the *.h5p files I created on that platfrom, not even within the platform. I now tried to import at H5P.org a file I had created (called Archimedes). It mainly had a  Column and then Accordion, Drag & Drop and Course Presentation. It says it has sccessfully uploaded the file, but the Course Presentation seems to be missing, although it tries to load something under the name Documentation Tool (there's nothing there, though). It's a given that I cannot alter the version I'm using but that the later H5P.org version is messing with it. I'm worried!
Thanks for your patience

Hi Jan,

I'm suspecting 2 possible reasons for this. First the plugin may have been updated but the update did not push through correctly, though this is highly unlikely since the admins mentioned that they did not make any changes. Second there is a plugin or something else that may be causing this. Could you please check the browser console (ctrl+shift+J or F12) for any errors.

Hi BV52
I'm not sure when I should hit F12 and what to look for...
Quick summary. On our Moodle platform I created Archimedes → Column with Accordeon and Course Presentation and some other Content. If I download it and upload it again it says Column was successfully uploaded, but when I scroll down to the Course Presentation Content it says:
Unfortunately, the selected content type ´H5P.CoursePresentation 1.21 isn´t installed on this system.
This on my laptop. If I do the same on my PC I get the thumbs up again for Column, but the red message where Course Presentation  should be says (in Spanish this time - Your Spanish OK?)
Desafortunadamente, el tipo de contenido seleccionado 'H5P.DocumentationTool 1.8' no está instalado en este sistema.
So now the Content type it cannot find is no longer called Course Presentation, but DocumentationTool and with a different version number. I also think that if I would modify the initial Archimedes I´d get the same message and lose my work (it still works fine if I leave it untouched). All this, as I mentioned somewhere, after I uploaded this little test.h5p with Dialog Cards under Column. As our administrators have no say in this, it seems I disrupted the system for half of Spain. Or is this only on my computers?
Please let me know what I can do with the F12 move. I think I'm pretty good at creating H5P stuff, but lousy at the programming tech behind it. What seems clear is that under Column my system had the option course Presentation, and now it doesn´t. (Course Presentation is still on the initial list, so I can use it outside Column)
I think you knew all this already, so I know I´m not helping you here....
Thanks
Jan

Hi Jan,

You press the F12 to go to the browser console when you are creating/editing contents. In most cases this provides some clues to where the problem is coming from.

Hi
I don't think H5P is usually appropriate for examination purposes, but I would like to use some of the Content I have prepared for that purpose. I would like students to do, say, a multiple choice exercise and then Finalize it without revealing the score to the students and without indicating which answers were (in)correct. I, as a teacher, would see their results on our Moodle platform and give feedback later.  I can withhold the Retry button, but they can Retry if they leave the exercise and come back in. Any options?
Thanks

Hi Jan,

For the not revealing the score the easiest way is to use a PHP hook, to add your own CSS-file to the content type. Please visit the Visual Changes page for more details.

In regards to the Retry, I'm afriad this is not possible without making changes to the code.
