Getting students results without having to register

Hello everybody!

First of all, I want to thank everybody involve in this project since it is a powerful tool for educators and it is free!

Since the codvid19 pandemia, I have created content for my primary education children in the blog provided by the educational governance.

My students are doing the activities I create in my blog. Is there any way I can track my students progress without having them to register so when they finish the activities I can see their names with their results?

Thank you very much.

Regards.

William.

Hi William,

I'm afraid this is not possible not unless you make changes to the code or someone else in the community creates this feature.

Hi all!

A basic version should be relatively simple to do (ask for name on first visit and store it in local storage for future visits, listen to xAPI for results and store them in an appropriate fashion with the name). There are some extra things to take care of (how should duplicate names be treated, where and how should the data be displayed, etc.), but nothing serious, I guess.

I don't think this should be a regular feature of H5P, but rather some extra plugin for WordPress that someone would have to fund or code.

Best,

Oliver

Thank you all for the replies, during the lockdown I have been telling the students to send me pictures with the results.

I don't know how to code, I understand what you say about getting the data but I have no idea how to do that.

Is there any manual I can follow to do it?

It is just to collect students data from the activities they are doing and show me the results in a grid.

Thank you very much.

Hi MrWilliam,

I'm sorry I don't think you will find any manual/documentation/guide to a step by step process on how to code a specific feature.

Since you mentioned that you don't know how to code my best advice is to try to look for a plugin in Wordpress that collect xAPI statements event if a user is not logged.
