When checking the browser console do you see any error messages? Can you try downloading a content from the examples page and uploading it in Wordpress. If it lets you create a new content I suggest you download and upload the other examples. To make it easier you can start with the complex contents such as Column, Course Presentation, Quiz (Question Set) etc., downloading and uploading them installs all the libraries of the contents types that you can created within them.
