Speak the words / Speak the words set - images

Hello, I would like to request the ability to use images with the Speak the words / Speak the words set activities instead of just text. I think this would be an invaluable tool for language learners and those learning to read. Images or text could be optional as long as one of the two exists. I.e. if an image is being used, text is not mandatory, or if text is being used an image is not mandatory.

Thank you in advance.

Hi gengoac,

Thank you for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! With the H5P supporter program the H5P community can now vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then work on a feature they find interesting or useful.

Hi Iran!

Thanks for your comment! I am just curious: Why do you write in Portuguese while the discussion is lead in English?

Cheers,
Oliver

Hi gengoac!

I just implemented that feature and created a pull request. Please note that the H5P core team will have to find time for testing the new code and for releasing an update, and this make take some time. I don't know when they will have that time to spare.

Best,
Oliver

I still don't see a spot for adding a picture.  Let me piggyback by adding a few other ideas:

  • An option to upload an audio file as a prompt (Students will have to listen to the question and then answer)
  • An option to randomize the questions in a Set

Thanks for all the hard work y'all do.  Love it!

Yeah, well, there has not been an update since January 20, 2021 (and the feature was added to the code after that). Only the H5P core team can tell ...
