Mark the Words

llo,

I love using H5P. I have been using it for over 7 years now. And it's still solid as a rock. I did find something strange that I can't solve, though.

Have a look here. Why does it say 6/10 correct and not 8/10? This is the backend

Thanks!

Gijs

Hi Gijs,

Mark the Words works on a right minus wrong scoring. This is to discourage users in clicking all the words to get a perfect score.

That's a pity. Any way to change this rule?

Hi MeesterGijs

Why would you want to change a rule which looks quite sensible/logical? What are your reasons?

I highlight the options my students have. So it's clear for them not to choose all the words in a sentence. Just choose between two. So when 2 out of 8 are incorrect, H5P says 6/10. That's why.

So, if I understand correctly, you're not reporting a bug, but filing a feature request that is like: "As an author, I want to be able to set the number of words that need to be marked out of all correct answers." (?)

That's correct. But this started with a question because I didn't understand the scoring. Now I do. And I would love this addition.

Hi Everyone,

I think moving this to the Feature Request forum would be the best course of action ;-)
