Is there any way to see who has editing access to an H5P activity I can't edit?

I am working in a subject/unit within my university and there are some H5P activities that none of the current team have editing/collaborating access to. I'm not sure if there's anything in the metadata which can tell me who the onwer or collaboarators are. Does anyone know if there's a way to check this? Or, is there some way H5P can add me or someone else as a collaborator to H5P activites we're trying to work on? The only way around this I can see is that we'd need to completely remake the activities we're trying to work with.

Any suggestions welcome!

Thank you :-)

Hi Michael,

I would assume that you are using H5P.com to host your contents. To see the list of collaborators and owner of a content you have to pull up the collaborators window. You can do this by clicking on the "Multiple Authors" icon. The button is only available if the content have collaborators in them. If the content does not have this button this only means that you own the content and there are no collaborators. Also administrators of the account can see who owns the content by clicking on "More Options" -> "Share with organization". Administrators can also change the owner of the content. You can read more about managing content owners and collaborators in this documentation

To answer your other question, H5P.com support although capable of changing owners and adding collaborators for any account will not do this unless for special circumstances i.e. server issue, bug in the feature etc.. Administrators of the accounts needs to do this.

If you need further assitance or have other questions I suggest that you reach out to the H5P point person in your account/organization which usually acts as the administrator.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, we use H5P.com to host our contents. I think what you have described is how to check if there are  collaborators/check who are the collaboators on H5P activities which I also have editing access to. What I am referring to in my original query is H5P activites that have been created by someone else within my organisation, but have not been shared with me. As such, I don't have access or permission to check who the owner is, or who the assigned collaborators are (as far as I can tell).

I guess my question is: if I don't have collaborator access to an H5P activity within my organisation, is there a way I can tell who the list of collaborators is?

Thanks also for clearing up when H5P admin/support would change owners of an activty. It soulds like that would not apply in this situation.

Hi Michael,

As I mentioned only administrators of the account can see who owns a content that is not shared with you, it can be viewed by clicking on "More Options" -> "Share with organization". Administrators can also change the owner of the content. You can read more about managing content owners and collaborators in this documentation.
