Image Hotspots: Fields not appearing in admin

esilk's picture

Some fields are not appearing, only the shortcode:

    [field:text:colorSelector:color]
    [field:group:imageCoordinateSelector:position]

So I cannot set the hotspot color or position and the hotspot does not work.

Are you on WordPress or Drupal? Is this a new site or has this been working before and stopped working now?
esilk's picture

It's on Wordpress. I did a test using PHP 5.3, 5.4 and 5.6 versions on my server, and then as a check, installed this on an entirely different hosting environment (I think apache/linux/ and php 5.6 or 7). Also tested version 1.4 on a php 5.2 server and still saw the same issue – the plugin is somehow broken

I installed WP now on a windows pc with wamp and tried to create an image hotspot. No problem. The auto installer installed the content type.

We're using many OS and computer combination here at Joubel, but haven't seen any signs of this problem. Do you see the H5PEditor.ColorSelector (1.0.2) in you library list? (H5P Content -> Library list)

I see the following:

H5PEditor.ColorSelector

Version1.0.2FullscreenNoContent libraryNoUsed by0 contentsLibrary Folder: H5PEditor.ColorSelector-1.0 and

H5PEditor.ImageCoordinateSelector

Version1.0.0FullscreenNoContent libraryNoUsed by0 contents Library Folder: H5PEditor.ImageCoordinateSelector-1.0

That is very strange. Are you using a multisite setup? Do you have WordPress debug mode enabled?
esilk's picture

It's not a Multisite, and it's a live site so debug is not on

Hmm... Could you provide access to the site so that we may try to create content there? You may send login info in the contact form.

So the server tech just told me that it's running on a Windows server. Are there any special instructions for running the plugin on a Windows server?

falcon's picture

No special instructions, but it haven't been tested by the core team on a Windows Server yet so that may be the explanation. Would be very happy if you could tell us what the problem is or even better provide a pull request so that H5P can work better on Windows Servers.
