Video controls not visible for interactive video in Moodle

Interactive videos inserted into Moodle course via H5P plugin do not have the video control bar at the bottom in final embedded video. Everything else works perfectly.

Moodle version and H5P plugins both current. Base video is MP4 H264

Video plays ok when started and interactions work perfectly. Just can't control the video or see how far through the video I am. Same applies in admin backend and as student.

have tried with three different videos - same on each. Non interactive MP4 videos look and play normally.

PLEASE: any clues on cause and fix?

Hi Garyj,

In order to give your bug report the best chance of getting answered, please include the following information:

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen)
  2. Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.
  3. Mobile or Desktop
  4. Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
  5. H5P plugin version
  6. H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P.
  7. Any browser console errors
  8. Any PHP errors
  9. Screenshots if it's a visual problem

If it worked before:

  1. Any recent changes to the environment (new plugins/modules, updates, configuration changes etc.)
  2. Any recent changes to the browser you're using (new extensions, updates etc.)

The more information you provide, the quicker the community will be able to fix it and the quicker you'll have a working solution!

I found the issue seems to have been the Moove theme in Moodle. I changed the theme to Groove and problem solved. Only problem is I now have a site redesign to do but since it is in pre-launch it is no big issue.

Interactive video suddenly collapsed the displaying like below image. dotn why this happened and no console error to debug.

Looks like the stylesheet is not loaded. You may see an error in the network tab of the browser's dev tools. If you're lucky, it's just a temporary cache issue that you can fix by cleaning moodle's caches (and your browser's cache).

there is no error in network tab too. also we have checked purge caches and clearing the all chaches. no luck.

Please help anyone ot resolve this

In order to help, someone would need to check on your platform why the stylesheet is not loaded (and why this does not cause an error to be triggered).
