Course Presentation Things

Hi!

I am new to the H5P forum and I couldn't find a search bar, so hope these questions are not already answered. :)

I have two questions about the Course Presentation block. I have a license on H5P and currently i'm embedding the content in a iFrame to our company's e-learningpages.

When I use the Course Presentation block, it seems that the 'fullscreen' option is not visible on a iPhone. However, it is present on my desktop browser (Firefox). Is this on purpose or is this a bug? Would be great to use the fullscreen option on mobile devices!

Further, I was enthoustic about the 'printer' button. However, when I disable "Active Surface Mode" under "Behaviour Settings", the 'printer button' disappears. I wasn't expecting this, because the option to turn on the printer button is still available in the settings menu. And because the 'active surface mode' is final I can't go back. :)

Thnx for the help!

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Welcome to H5P!

Thank you for reporting these. These are known bugs/issues.

Hi all!

It's possibly not a bug with the fullscreen mode of H5P, but one of the peculiarities of iOS on iPhones. On those, Apple does only allow <video> elements to go to fullscreen in the browser, not other elements like <div> elements as needed in this case. You'd have to ask Apple to change their implementation. Not sure if embedding makes things even worse, because normally H5P should at least try to use a semi-fullscreen mode.

Best,

Oliver

Hi BV & Oliver, thnx for the fast response! We'll have to live with it. :)

Another question though. When I use the block 'course presentation' inside a 'column', the fullscreen button also disappears on my desktop (Mac, Firefox). When I build the same block but standalone (so, not inside a 'column') the fullscreen button is shown as it should.

Is this a known 'issue'?

Hi Patrick!

Seems that this is intended behavior in Column.

Best,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,

Ah okay... perhaps there's a good reason for it. Thnx for your research. :)
