Green Screen

Good afternoon,

Is there a greenscreen effect on H5P? I've searched the forum and YouTube, but I haven't been able to locate a how to. Would someone please point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.

Hi sanctifiedlady,

How exactly do you plan to create your content?

I'm a little late to the party.

My educational material has an avatar green-screened onto the PowerPoint slide. I import my slide into a video editor, overlay the avatar with green-screen, and then export the composite video. However, this creates HUGE video files if saved at 720p. (Huge even after applying Handbrake.) This is set up as an H5P Interactive Video tool. A 40 hour course (30 hours of instructional video) is over 20 GB since the video files are uploaded as 480p and 720p. Another issue is streaming bandwidth with multiple concurrent users.

As the PowerPoint slides are static for the time they are displayed, it would be convenient to use H5P Course Presentation tool for the slides, then have the animated avatar green-screened onto the slides. This would allow a smaller resolution avatar file to be uploaded (360p or 480p), positioned and resized on the slides, and reduce the overall bandwidth of the presentation. Fixing the avatar file would also be simpler.

Let me know if this makes sense.

Thx
